"This body of work involves ideas of innocence, love, lust, feminism, sexuality, history, and humanity. Exposing vulnerability through a blend of typography intertwined with images. The written documentation that accompanies each image has been accumulated from eight journals that I have been writing in throughout my life. When I began this project I assumed my images would directly depict the thoughts expressed in my writing, and some do. However, many call attention to the contrast between the images and my previous beliefs. This series has become grounded by the exposure of multiple realities within the same mind.
Displayed in harmony with Sophia Reith's abstract visual communication of parallel topics we both strive to expose our deepest thoughts. Attempting to display our own ideas and perceptions of ourselves, not as we seem through the filters of our perceived lifestyles and emotional patterns but rather as we genuinely are. The exhibition theme of exposure stems from the greater theme of vulnerability that has been evident within my past work and is pertinacious to the impact of the series."
